The Association québécoise des coordonnateurs d’accès aux médicaments d’oncologie (AQCAMO) provides its members with support, updates and education on how to access oncology medication.
Drug access as well as coverage are becoming increasingly complex, while drug reimbursement navigators are in high demand in Quebec by both physicians and patients.
In an effort to remove the financial burden from cancer patients so that their focus can remain on their health, navigators are working tirelessly to make the access and reimbursement of oncology drugs as straightforward as possible. This is why AQCAMO is committed to increasing the communication of knowledge available between navigators and patients.
We are committed to improving the lives of cancer patients.
Cancer treatments may include drugs that are not covered by government plans. As such, AQCAMO provides cancer patients with guidance and support to help with the financing and reimbursement of oncology drugs in order to alleviate the administrative burden of a cancer diagnosis.
We are also committed to increasing training and networking opportunities for access navigators.
◾️ Promote a timely access to quality drugs and care by assisting patients in their search for financial support, and assistance programs;
◾️ Provide administrative assistance with regards to the completion of the necessary paperwork for both public and private insurance programs
◾️ Provide training opportunities for our access navigators;
◾️ Create networking opportunities to foster support and collaboration in this emerging practice
